Vinification The Gymnos vineyard is planted on a mostly stoney soil. Hand-picked, the grapes are fermented in stainless steel for 20 days with extended contact with the lees for up to two weeks. The wine is aged in French oak barrels for 12 months (70% new, 30% up to 3-year-old).
Taste Profile Agiorgitiko, the appellation grape of Nemea, is one of the great varietals of the world. The Parparoussis Nemea Reserve is made from selected grapes grown from vineyards of the Gymno district of Nemea. It has an elegant nose with hints of old leather and cherry which leads to velvety tannins in the mouth with a finish of great refinement. The wine is a perfect accompaniment to game, red meat and cheese, and can be drunk now or laid down for future drinking.
