Sigalas Mezzo 2003 A sweet red stunner from Santorini. Intense fruit flavours supported by brilliant acidity that leaves the mouth clean and fresh. Sigalas Vin Santo 2003 This is a young Vinsanto which has spent only two years in barrel and yet has developed the richness and complexity associated with wines of its type. Notes of beeswax, figs and honey are suggested on the nose. In the mouth the wine is very rich with some savoury hints even but the high acidity of Assyrtiko prevents it from being remotely cloying. Emery Efreni 2001 Made from two Muscats, Moscato di Trani (75%) and Muscat of Alexandria, grown on a low lying 1.6 hectare vineyard and then sun-dried until the sugar concentration reached 300gr/litre, this wine presents floral notes, including honeysuckle on the nose, suggests tropical fruits such as pineapple on the palate and finishes with a clean and dry hint of lemon. Only 8,000 bottles of this light and fresh wine have been produced.
