Grape Varieties Cabernet Sauvignon

Alcohol Content 14%

Bottle Size 75cl

Vinification The vineyard is near ancient Tegea and sits on a clay and gravel soil. The grapes are harvested by hand in small baskets and undergo a pre fermentation maceration for 20 days. The alcoholic fermentation is done in stainless steel for another 20 days, followed by a 8-day maceration with frequent steering of the less for 2 months. The wine ages for 15 months in new to 2-year-old oak French barrels. The wine is not filtered.

Taste Profile Avlotopi is a single vineyard Cabernet made only in those years in which Tselepos considers the conditions to be perfect. This is a superb Cabernet, the result of contemporary vinification techniques and aged in new French oak for 18 months. It is a deep, very flavourful and highly structured wine. It was awarded 4 stars by Decanter.
